We made the 12 hour trip back to Ohio for Jesse's first Christmas. Thankfully, we now do the trek in two days. Day 1 is 6 hours to my little brother Dale's place in the Poconno's. We spend the night and then day 2 is another 6 hours. Stopping at Dale's add's about 10 minutes to the trip total, but is well worth it!
We must have looked comical driving down the road. We took the VW Passat. Since we were staying for 10 days, and it was Christmas, we had a 20 cubic foot cargo box on top. Even with all this extra space, we were stacked to the ceiling inside the car on the trip back to NH. Scott keeps teasing that our next vehicle is going to be a Uhaul truck.
We left after I finished work on Thursday late afternoon. So we had to drive straight to the Heaton's Christmas Eve gathering (1). On Christmas morning, we headed to Uncle Nick's place (2) to see Grandpa and Grandma Heaton, before they headed back to VA. Then it was off to the Perkin's (3). On Sunday the 26th, we spent the day at the Kuntzman's Christmas (4). We wrapped it all up on Monday evening, as we celebrated with Grandma Shelia, Aunt Jenn, Uncle Chuck and the cousins (5).
