Subhead

In 2006, Scott and I moved to New Hampshire. But as time passed, our family grew. In 2010, we welcomed our son Jesse. Our little Lady Becca graced us in 2013.

With our lives happening at least 700 miles away from family and life-long friends, we love for you to follow along with us as our little ones grow.

Mom and Dad are crazy!

Since we were having this heat streak in the middle of the winter, we decided to try to climb Mount Major.  This is a decent hike up a mountain.  Though there are beautiful views at the top.

So on Saturday morning February 18th, the Kosnik's joined us for a hike.  When we got to the trailhead, it was cooler than at home.  (Go figure, as it was a 45 minute drive north.)  So we are bundling up the kids and ourselves and loading them into the backpacks in preparation.  While we are doing this, the people around us (hard core hikers) are coming off the trail in snow spikes.  Yes - snow spikes.

Here we are in tennis shoes, with kids on our backs trying to climb the trail.  Notice how there are only photos as we started.  Once we got onto the trail, it was a sheet of ice, so all efforts were on trying to not fall, so no additional pictures.  We attempted this for about 10-15 minutes before we abondoned the hike.  Maybe another time!

The funny part of this story was so we wanted to let the kids run around a little bit.  Morgan thought that there was a McDonald's with an indoor play place about 20 minutes farther north.  We decided to go north, as it was closer than driving almost an hour home to the one in Portsmouth.  Only to discover, once we got there, that there was no play place.  This then lead us into a McDonald's search.  In the end, we drove an extra hour north, to find a McDonald's with an outdoor playground.  The kids still had fun, but the parents felt really silly.  Live and Learn.
